Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay care givers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.
Stephen Ministry belongs to the entire congregation. It is their prayers that support and sustain both care receivers and care givers. Members of a Stephen Ministry parish may be called by Christ to be care givers, care receivers or, sometimes, to be both.
People who are suffering often find it difficult to see the ways God is trying to help them. One of these ways may be His offer of care through the person of a Stephen Minister. A person in pain can respond to God’s offer of help by becoming a care receiver and accepting the one-on-one care of a Stephen Minister. To find out more about how a Stephen Minister might care for you or someone you know, please call Stephen Ministry at the EMCC Parish Office Hub. Your call will be kept confidential. Do you feel that Christ may be calling you to be a Stephen Minister? For more information about training to be a Stephen Minister, please the EMCC Parish Office Hub.
