She knew intimately what it was like to struggle with a challenging medical diagnosis during pregnancy.

The St Gianna Molla Pregnancy Outreach Center serves life by providing material, emotional and spiritual support to mothers, fathers and families in need during pregnancy and through the first years of life. The Pregnancy Center, originally begun as the Southern Tier Pregnancy Center (STPC) by a multi-denominational group of Christian people in the greater Olean area, has its physical home on the 2nd floor of the Parish Life Center at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. In order to ensure the financial stability of the ministry and expand the types of services available to clients, the STPC became part of the group of what is now five (5) St. Gianna Molla Pregnancy Outreach Centers coordinated by the Diocese of Buffalo. All of the Centers (Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Chautauqua, Niagara Falls and Cattaraugus Areas), although coordinated, operate independently of one another and focus on serving the needs of their unique communities. All donations made to a specific Center are used to provide services in that local community.

Our St Gianna Pregnancy Center (Cattaraugus Area) provides services to moms, dads and families by appointment by calling 716-373-2569. Although anyone can make an initial contact (typically during pregnancy), clients generally connect with us through a referral submitted by a social service agency, medical provider or faith-based community. (Referral info can be found at https://www.buffalodiocese.org/st-gianna/)  We work with clients to understand their current situation/needs and can provide material support such as a car seat or a safe place to sleep (portable crib), diapers, wipes, bottles, blankets, clothing, etc. We coordinate a clothing and "baby gear" exchange for families and accept donations of a variety of new and gently-used/clean items - see list below. e also have an Earn While You Learn program that allows clients to earn points toward new and handmade items by keeping up with healthy pregnancy and well-baby visits and participating in educational activities.

Additional support provided by the Diocese of Buffalo Office of Pro-Life/Pastoral Ministries includes services such as a residential home for expectant/new mothers (St Theresa Home) in Buffalo as well as Project Rachel which is a Post-Abortion Reconciliation Program offering forgiveness, healing and hope to anyone suffering from the effects of an abortion. 

Our St. Gianna Pregnancy Center Cattaraugus Area will be conducting a Baby Bottle Fundraiser during the month of May. Anyone interested in donating can pick up baby bottles in the rear of the church or by calling 716-373-2569 to have them delivered. Donors can collect their spare change in the bottles, then drop them off at the parish office during regular hours or call for pick up.
