Our parish community began worshiping on this site since 1852 as a mission church. We became a parish in the Diocese of Buffalo on 26 Nov. 1876 with the appointment of our first resident pastor. Oct. 30, 2016 Celebrations to kick off the 140th Anniversary of the establishment of St. Mary of the Angels as a free-standing church in the Diocese of Buffalo and the arrival of our first resident pastor, Rev. John J. Hamel. The day's events included opening Mass at 11:30 with descendants of Fr. Hamel's family; blessing of the new Wall of Pastors in Bradley Centennial Hall; re-blessing and prayers offered with Fr. Hamel's family descendants in the crypt where he is interred; annual Spaghetti Dinner and raffle.
