Community Appreciation Dinner for Fr. Greg

June 8, 2018 the basilica held a Community Appreciation Dinner for Fr. Greg Dobson in light of his pending retirement and 35th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. 250 were in attendance for the spectacular evening featuring a presentation of the Key to the City of Olean by the mayor; a filmed address by Sr. Margaret Carney, OSF (president emeritus of St. Bonaventure Univ.); a special visit from Paris, France from Vincent Volpe, (former president and CEO of Dresser-Rand Industries); a surprise serenade from Fr. Greg; a surprise chorus of his former cantors at the basilica singing the Irish Blessing at the end. Plus much more!
