If you wish to register with us to be officially a part of one of our parishes, we invite you to stop by the EM Catholic Parish Office in the Parish Life building (the red brick building next to the basilica on S. 1st Street). Park in the back off Irving Street, and you'll see the glass doors. Hit the buzzer button and you'll hear the click of the door to let you in. Proceed to the right to the EM Catholic Parish Office Hub. There you can get your registration materials.Is official registration in a Catholic parish important?
Official registration is important especially when your family members are receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation and Marriage. Registration in a Catholic Parish is also a requirement for those wishing to be a Baptism or Confirmation sponsor. Additionally, being a member of a Parish gives one the identity of belonging to a family. In times of joy and in times of struggle, it is comforting to have the support of family. Being a registered Parish member assures you of that support.
