We would like to honor Sister Regina for her tireless work at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels! This special tribute acknowledges her countless hours of serving as a Pastoral Assistant and the Director of Religious Education. Behind the scenes, her outreach to the homebound was extraordinary. She visited the sick, the elderly and those unable to attend Mass especially in nursing homes. She very quietly assisted people with their spiritual needs and with her wise advice. She was exceptionally affirming of people, finding the presence of God in everyone she met.
Sister Regina was the prime mover of keeping the Religious Education Program organized with catechists and weekly lesson plans. Many children graduated with a fond memory of Sister’s Christmas Pageant. Her support of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in so many ways will never be forgotten. Sister took care of everything from assisting as reader, Eucharistic Minister and sacristan to baking her famous pies for the BasilicaFEST!
Sister Regina is retiring and moving to her home with her religious congregation. Her last day here is May 11, 2025. We are grateful that Sister Regina served our Catholic family community for 42 years so that faith, hope and love may flourish for generations to come! God has indeed blessed our parish through this humble and loving servant!
We are planning a Retirement Party for Sister Regina on Sunday, June 29 after the 11 am Mass. Please save-the-date and come wish Sister Regina a happy and restful retirement!
