While we begin our journey of coming together as three parishes into one family, I will periodically update everyone through the bulletin about some of the things that have been taking place. So here we go . . . 1. The Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels has been chosen as the hub parish. This is not the same thing as the Central Office which will be decided upon later. A “hub parish” is a term used by the Diocese under the Road to Renewal to coordinate family expenses. Thus, family expenses will be paid by the Basilica and, in turn, the Basilica will then bill St. Bonaventure and St. John parishes (so each parish pays an equal share, and it streamlines billing).
2. The Easter Triduum will be celebrated across our family, with each parish in our family hosting one event of the Triduum.
3. Calls are beginning to be made to establish members of the Pillar Groups. I had an introductory meeting with one of the companies that prints our bulletins. While we will be moving to a central family bulletin in the coming months, the specifics of what our family bulletin will look like has yet to be determined.
4. Again, I would recommend checking out https://roadtorenewal.org/ which has some resources on what we can expect in the months and years to come.
