Welcome Home! That's what we hope it feels like among the parish family of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. We welcome you--whoever you are; wherever you are in your faith journey.
Since 1852 (on this very lot) we have welcomed new people into our community from all walks of life; from all corners of the world. We are happy to have you here and look forward to meeting you in person. We are 1,350 families strong, and are eager to embrace even more. We invite you to come to our weekend liturgies (Mass schedule is below), and enjoy our hospitality afterwards in Bradley Centennial Hall once a month. Please check out our Events calendar to see if there are any activities or prayer services you'd be interested in joining. Our Ministries page will give you some ideas where you can help serve the parish and the community (and meet new friends while you're at it!) Want to talk to a priest or deacon? Call any time 716.372.4841.
If you wish to register with us to be officially a part of our parish community, we invite you to stop by the Parish Office in the Parish Life building (the red brick building next to the church on S. 1st Street). Park in the back off Irving Street, and you'll see the glass doors. Hit the buzzer button and you'll hear the click of the door to let you in. Proceed to the right to the Parish Office. There you can get your registration materials (and maybe even a cup of coffee or golf tips from Joe!) If our office hours don't work for you, we can accommodate. Give us a call!
It sure is, especially when your family members are receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation and Marriage. Registration in a Catholic Parish is also a requirement for those wishing to be a Baptism or Confirmation sponsor. Additionally, being a member of a Parish gives one the identity of belonging to a family--in this case, the family of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels Parish. In times of joy and in times of struggle, it is comforting to have the support of family. Being a registered Parish member assures you of that support.
Parish Office hours are:
Monday through Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (winter hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm)
If you have any questions or just want to know more about our parish community – you may also feel free to contact us at 716.372.4841 or email Bonnie Stark at [email protected].
