Congratulations & Welcome! In order to schedule a Baptismal date and to gather basic information for parish records, parents/guardians wishing to have their child or children baptized are asked to contact our parish office and speak with Bonnie at 716-372-4841.
Mindful that we cannot "do or live" our faith alone, families or households will then gather ideally in a group setting, typically at 10 a.m. on a Saturday morning, just once with our Baptism Team before the actual event to meet others seeking this same gift/grace for their child(ren).
"Where's That In the Bible?"
As is shared so well in "The Catechism of The Catholic Church:"
"Always, Baptism is seen as connected with faith: From the very day of Pentecost- [The "Birthday of the Church"] - when the church was born by the Spirit of God- the Church has celebrated and administered holy Baptism.
The baptized have "put on Christ." Through the Holy Spirit, Baptism is a bath that purifies, justifies, and sanctifies. (1226)
In case of an emergency, Baptism can be done at any time of the day or night.
St. Mary of the Angels' 1915 baptismal font is capped by its ornate, gothic brass top which was recently refurbished.
